Your input stays on this device and is processed in your browser. How to use Merge PDF
- Choose up to 20 PDF files, together no larger than 200 MB.
- Put them in the order you want; the list is the order of the result.
- Check the total page count, then download the combined document.
One document in a deliberate order
Pages are copied between documents rather than re-printed, so text stays text: it is still selectable, still searchable, and a screen reader still reads it. Nothing is rasterized, which is the difference between merging and printing several files to one PDF.
The list is the order of the result, and it is worth checking before processing rather than after — there is no page reordering inside the output. Up to 20 files, 50 MB each, 200 MB together, and 500 pages in the finished document.
What is copied is the pages. A table of contents, internal links between the source documents, form fields, annotations and attachments do not come along, because they belong to the files they were defined in. If the sources have fillable forms, merge a flattened copy instead.
Frequently asked questions about Merge PDF
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom, and nothing is turned into a picture.
Can I merge a password-protected file?
No. Encrypted documents are rejected, because the tool neither asks for a password nor keeps one. Remove the protection in the program that applied it.
Will bookmarks, links, and form fields survive?
Page content does. Document-level features such as an outline, internal links, and form fields are not carried into the merged file.
