How to use Markdown to PDF

  1. Paste Markdown into the editor or import one .md or .markdown file up to 2 MB.
  2. Review the live A4 preview, including headings, tables, quotes, links, and code blocks.
  3. Choose Save as PDF and keep the A4 print settings to export the numbered document.

Readable documents from plain text

The source stays a text file you can keep in version control, and the layout is decided at export time by a print stylesheet rather than by dragging things around. Headings, tables, quotes and fenced code all have a fixed treatment, which is why two documents written a month apart come out looking alike.

Pagination is real: the preview shows A4 page boxes, so a table that will break across a page break breaks in the preview too. Page numbers are a footer counter rather than typed text, so they stay correct when the content above them grows.

Saving happens through the browser's own print dialog, and that is where the last two decisions live. Choose Save as PDF as the destination, and turn off the browser's headers and footers or the page will carry its URL and the date alongside your own footer.
