How to use Split PDF

  1. Choose one PDF, up to 50 MB and 500 pages.
  2. Describe the pages you want, such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. Leave it empty for one file per page.
  3. Review the list of documents that will be produced, then download them.

Exact page groups, separate files

The field takes single pages and ranges separated by commas, and each entry becomes one file. Leaving it empty is the shortcut for the most common case: one document per page, named by its number.

Ranges may overlap, and that is allowed on purpose — the same page can end up in two outputs if two people need different slices of one report. What is not allowed is a number past the end of the document, which is refused rather than silently clipped.

One file at a time, up to 50 MB and 500 pages, and at most 100 outputs from a single split. Each result is a real PDF with the pages copied intact, so a split followed by a merge gets you back where you started.

Frequently asked questions about Split PDF

How do I write the page ranges?

Single pages and ranges separated by commas: 1-3, 7, 10-12 produces three files. Page numbers are the ones printed in your reader, starting at one.

What if a range runs past the last page?

It is reported as an error rather than silently trimmed, so a typo in a range does not quietly give you a shorter document than you asked for.

Can I get one file per page from a long document?

Yes, by leaving the field empty, up to the visible limit on the number of output files. Beyond that, split it into ranges first.
