How to use Image Watermark Tool

  1. Choose the image you want to mark.
  2. Type the text, then set its corner, size, and opacity against the preview.
  3. Check that the mark is readable but not in the way, then download.

Visible ownership context

The text is drawn into the output pixels, which is the point: it travels with the file, survives a screenshot and cannot be switched off by whoever opens it. It is equally permanent for you — there is no layer to hide later, so keep the unmarked original.

Opacity is the setting worth spending time on. Low enough to read the picture through, high enough to survive a re-save by someone else's compressor: around a third is usually the balance, and a mark below about ten percent tends to disappear the first time the image is recompressed.

This deters casual reuse and nothing more. A watermark placed in a corner can be cropped away in seconds, and one across the middle can be painted out with a little patience. Treat it as a label saying where the picture came from, not as protection.

Frequently asked questions about Image Watermark Tool

Can the watermark be removed later?

Not from the file you download. The text is drawn into the pixels, so removing it means editing the picture. Keep your unmarked original.

Can I use my logo instead of text?

No. This tool draws text only. An image watermark needs the two pictures composited, which is a different operation.

What makes a watermark readable on any photo?

A shadow sits behind the text, so it stays legible on both light and dark areas. Lower the opacity until it stops competing with the picture.
